PAYMENT PROTECTION

Secure Payment Protection

UGC Next is designed so creators do not begin production without a visible payment-funding state and brands do not lose visibility over release conditions.

How the workflow works

The brand and creator first accept the same final agreement version. The job then moves to payment funding. UGC Next records the payment-provider state and displays it in the Work Hub. Production should begin only after the required funding state is confirmed.

The intended commercial model is that funds are held securely until the agreed completion/release conditions are met. UGC Next will only use the specific legal word “escrow” when the connected provider and legal structure formally qualify as escrow.

Payment states

A job may display awaiting provider, pending, authorized/paid, failed, refunded or cancelled. The interface must not describe money as secured or protected solely because a payment record exists.

Creator payout

Creator payout follows the accepted job terms, final content status, dispute status and the connected payment provider’s rules. UGC Next creator platform fee is 0% at launch; the standard 12% platform fee is charged to the brand.

Disputes and holds

When a qualifying dispute is opened, UGC Next can pause the workflow while reviewing contract terms, messages, deliveries, revisions and relevant payment-provider information.

Provider availability

Actual card charging, holding, transfer and payout capabilities depend on the connected payment provider, supported countries, identity verification and account configuration. Staging may show an awaiting-provider state without moving real money.
